I know I have been slacking off on posting to the blog, but boy have we been busy. Getting the MH and truck ready for the big trip to Alaska is taking more time and money then we expected, but we just about have everything done. We hope to leave Monday the 4th of June, which is may youngest daughter Teresa’s birthday. My oldest daughter Sherry’s birthday is the day before, Happy Birthday girls, love you.
We still have time for some sightseeing trips. We took a day off and went to Deception pass with Sandy and Steve.
Before Deception Pass Bridge was completed in 1935, the only way to cross was by boat.
It is really 2 bridges Deception Pass and Canoe Pass, which connects Whidbey Island and Fidalfo Island. The bridge is a landmark of Puget Sound.
We stopped and had a picnic at Deception Pass State Park, it was a perfect day, it was sunny and warm.
We saw the worlds largest grocery cart on the Island. Whidbey Island has a large Navel base.
You can’t be on the island without watching the ferries come and go.
