A Short Stop In Burns Lake

Monday August 27th 2012

P8270043 Burns Lake BC

Have you ever seen anything like this?  There is one coming into town and one leaving, I thought it was pretty cool.

P8270050 Burns Municipal Campground

Another Municipal campground, free and you can stay 72 hours.  The spaces are small but when your only spending the night no big deal.

It was time for a night on the town, dinner and a drink, of course Mike had to play bartender again.

We haven’t eaten out much on this trip prices in restaurants are very high, in the stores they are pretty high if your not in a big city and there are not many of those in BC and Alaska.  We paid as much as $4.50 for a dozen eggs $10.00 for 10 pounds of potatoes, $4.50 for half gallon of milk.  Dairy and fruits and Veggies are the highest priced items  You just have to plan ahead when your in larger towns.

After Dinner we took a walk around the lake at the park, we came across some exercise equipment I had to try it all out, what a mistake the next day I could hardly move.

There were four stations with 4-5 pieces of equipment at each one.

It was a fun little town to spend a night.
