Thursday we ended up in Tye Texas just a few miles west of Abilene, at Tye RV park.
We planned on meeting Steve and Sandy Allgire there, and spending New Years Eve with them. Wednesday evening we all went to dinner at the Town Crier in Abilene, that will never happen again. The food was okay, the prices way out of line for what you got.
Thursday afternoon we played Mexican Train and snacked on lots of good food. That evening Sandy made ham and a pumpkin pie, and I thru together some scalloped potatoes. Now that was a good meal.
Unfortunately none of us made it to midnight. It was still a late night for me at 9:30. Just call us the party animals. We all had a long day of driving ahead of us.
Mike drove 450 miles from Abilene to El Paso. It was a long day. We spent the night in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and were in bed by 8:30. You would thing we were old, no just tired.
