We left Benson on the 5th and headed to Tucson. A short 52 mile trip. We are staying 11 miles southwest of Tucson on the BLM land ( Bureau of Land Management.) we can stay here for 2 weeks for free. There is no water or electric, but we have our generator.
Tuesday we went to Kitt Peak National Observatory with Nancy and Charles, we are traveling together for a few weeks.
This is the worlds largest collection of research telescopes. It is located on Tohono O’odham Reservation, elevation of 7000ft. The temp was 36 degrees and a pretty good wind. There are 23 telescopes and 2 radio telescopes, Astronomical research is done at this location.
